About myself…  well, I'm a vegetarian, aspiring Buddhist, scientist with a love of wellness, learning and a desire to help people.  I grew up on a farm in Indiana with great parents and 3 younger brothers that I'm crazy about.  I'm the gay one that never quite fits in and couldn't wait to get out of the midwest.  I did graduate school in Massachusetts and then took a corporate job in NYC.  The corporate life didn't suit me and I had no passion for my work.  I fell in love with a happy-go-lucky guy from North Carolina that lived (lives) in DC — happened upon a job doing policy work and headed south.  We have a wonderful home in DC with 2 dogs (Lola and Spanky), 1 cat (Marcy), 4 fish  (Aretha, Lucy, Rocky and Pearl) and 3 birds (Lenny, Squiggy and Pretty Boy).  We like animals, can you tell?.  About 8 years ago I became interested in Buddhism (after being raised Protestant and thinking I was atheist) and now I consider myself a wannabe Buddhist.  I run and practice yoga regularly (wild about Jivamukti!), love mornings and feeling good!
